Our client in Chongqing is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Primary Head of Creative Arts to join their leadership team for the 2026–2027 academic year.
This is an exciting opportunity for an educator with a passion for the creative arts and strong experience in primary education to lead and develop our vibrant arts programme. The successful candidate will inspire students and staff alike, while contributing to a rich, inquiry-based curriculum grounded in creativity, expression, and cultural appreciation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the Primary Creative Arts programme, including Visual Arts, Music, and Performing Arts.
- Teach across primary year levels, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in line with school curriculum and values.
- Lead planning, coordination, and integration of creative arts within the wider primary curriculum.
- Organise and support school events and performances, celebrating student creativity and achievement.
- Mentor and support colleagues within the arts team to ensure consistent, high-quality teaching and learning.
- Work closely with the Primary Leadership Team to enhance the holistic learning experience for all students.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Creative Arts, or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, teaching license).
- Proven experience teaching in a Primary school setting is essential.
- Experience teaching Drama and/or EAL is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- A collaborative and innovative approach to curriculum development and student engagement.
- A commitment to international education and the values of creativity, inclusivity, and cultural understanding.
