Position Overview
The school is seeking a Bilingual Chemistry Teacher with experience teaching A Level Chemistry. The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching in both English and Chinese, supporting students in mastering subject content and developing academic English skills to succeed in international examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality A Level Chemistry lessons in both English and Chinese.
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with Cambridge curriculum standards.
- Support students in developing scientific inquiry skills and exam techniques.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and school events.
- Provide individual support and mentoring for students, including university preparation if needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry or a related science field; teaching certification preferred.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with the ability to teach and communicate effectively in both languages.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience, ideally in A Level or other international curricula.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge International A Level syllabus and assessment practices.
- Passion for science education and strong classroom management skills.
Desirable Qualities
- Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Knowledge of university admissions processes for UK, US, or other overseas destinations.
