Position Overview
The team is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic A Level Mathematics Teacher, capable of teaching both Core Maths and Further Mathematics. The ideal candidate will inspire students to excel in mathematics and help them develop the skills needed to succeed in university-level study and competitive admissions processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and rigorous lessons in A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, following the Cambridge syllabus.
- Prepare students for exams, including internal assessments, mock exams, and final A Level examinations.
- Create differentiated resources to support mixed-ability learners and challenge high-achievers.
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and team collaboration.
- Provide academic mentoring and support for university application processes (especially for STEM programmes).
- Participate in extracurricular academic activities, competitions, or enrichment programmes where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related subject; a teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.) is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching A Level Mathematics, including Further Mathematics.
- Strong command of English; fluency in Mandarin is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge A Level curriculum and assessment framework.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for teaching and helping students achieve their academic goals.
Desirable
- Experience in international or bilingual school settings.
- Background in coaching for mathematics competitions (e.g., UKMT, AMC, etc.).
- Experience with university admissions support, especially for UK and US STEM programmes.
