Job Description
The school is urgently seeking an experienced and passionate Bilingual Biology Teacher to join their dynamic IBDP team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous Biology lessons in both English and Chinese, helping students develop scientific understanding and critical thinking skills in preparation for the IB Diploma examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Biology lessons at IBDP level in both English and Chinese.
- Design and assess internal coursework, practical investigations, and mock exams in line with IBDP standards.
- Support students through the Extended Essay and Internal Assessment components related to Biology.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the science department and wider IBDP team.
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
*Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology or a related field; a teaching qualification is preferred.
*Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), with the ability to teach effectively in both languages.
*At least 2 years of experience teaching Biology, preferably within an IBDP framework.
*Strong understanding of the IB curriculum and assessment criteria.
*Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- IB training or certification.
- Experience in international or bilingual schools.
- Familiarity with inquiry-based and student-centred teaching approaches.
