Upper Primary Teacher | Teach in Doha
 
My client is a well established school in Doha, Qatar which is looking for experienced upper primary teachers to join for next academic year. The school has about 1500 students which are mainly from Arabic backgrounds. The students are very well behaved and the school is well resourced.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching in an Islamic faith school delivering the UK national curriculum
 
Requirements to apply
  1. B.Ed in Primary Education OR
  2. Degree in Science, Maths or English with a PGCE in Primary Education with QTS
  3. Ideally 2 years experience although some STRONG NQT's will be considered
  4. Western trained
  5. A HIGH command of written and spoken English
  6. Being able to speak Arabic is a bonus
The school is located in the heart of Qatar, Doha, which is an up and coming location. It has excellent resources and reputation in the region and is accredited by QNSA.  The school delivers the UK national curriculum with Islamic values and ethos and is a popular choice amongst parents in Qatar that want their children to have a modern education coupled with keeping the values of Islam. You will find there is little or no behaviour issues at this school.
 
Salary Package
  1. TAX FREE salary up to 12,000 QAR per month
  2. FREE Furnished apartment, either one bedroom or two depending on the seniority of the position.

Upper Primary Teacher Job Description
  1. Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum
  2. Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age pupils
  3. Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
  4. Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
  5. Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  6. Managing classroom behaviour
  7. Formative Assessment
  8. Preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development
  9. Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
  10. Providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at Parents' evenings and other meetings
  11. Coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the Curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  12. Working with others to plan and coordinate work
  13. Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  14. Organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
  15. Liaising with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly in smaller schools
  16. Working with parents and school SMT to maximise their involvement in the school and the development of resources for the school

Salary Range:
A salary from 9000 up to 12000   QAR (Qatar Riyal) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
