ICT Teacher – Al Ain, UAE

Location: Al Ain, United Arab Emirates
Employment Type: Full-Time
Contract: 2-year renewable contract
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP preferred

About the Role

My client is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and experienced ICT Teacher to join our growing academic team in Al Ain, UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative ICT lessons, developing students' digital literacy and technology skills, and creating a positive learning environment that prepares students for further education and the rapidly evolving digital world.

We are particularly interested in candidates with international or GCC teaching experience, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for integrating technology into education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality ICT lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Develop students' knowledge and practical skills across areas of information and communication technology.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies and educational technology to enhance student learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs and abilities of individual students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement.
  • Develop engaging practical activities, projects, and technology-based learning experiences.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Encourage students to develop problem-solving, computational thinking, creativity, and digital literacy skills.
  • Integrate appropriate digital tools and resources into teaching and learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement, assessment, and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership.
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, ICT, Education, or a related field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, B.Ed., teaching licence, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching ICT, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related subject.
  • Experience teaching within an international, British, IB, or comparable curriculum is advantageous.
  • Previous GCC or UAE teaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging, student-centred learning experiences.
  • Good knowledge of current educational technology and digital learning tools.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and professional standards.
  • Candidates available to start immediately or at short notice are strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: AED 12,750 to AED 15,800 per month, dependent upon years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered
Prefer candidates with international experience
Additional:
**Experience of the IB Curriculum is beneficial but not essential as training will be given
**Experience of USA Curriculum such as American Harcourt, AP and Common Core is highly valued
**It will be beneficial to your application if you have experience of working in the Middle East or with non-native speakers of English
**Degree in ICT needed
**GCC experience if preferred

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 12375 up to 15,300  AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE

Utility Bills:
500AED per month
Baggage Allowance:
up to 500 USD on actual reciept
