An exciting opportunity is available for a creative and energetic ESL/Drama Teacher to join a growing language centre in Shanghai from July/August 2026.
Our client is a language centre delivers a unique and engaging ESL and Drama programme for students aged 3–12 years old, designed to develop not only English language ability but also essential 21st-century skills including collaboration, creative thinking, problem solving, creativity, confidence, and communication.
We are looking for passionate educators who can bring learning to life through interactive teaching, storytelling, drama activities, role play, and performance-based learning.
The Role
The successful candidate will teach engaging ESL/Drama classes to young learners in a supportive and student-centred environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teach educational drama classes to young learners (ages 3-12) on evenings and weekends.
- Create fun and engaging lesson plans that captivate young learners.
- Teach 13-15 hours per week, with a 40-hour work week during probation (reduced to 30 hours after probation).
- Participate in western holiday events like Halloween and Christmas.
- Attend staff training sessions and weekly team meetings.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Native English speaker from the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa (due to visa requirements)
*Bachelor’s degree or above in any field.
*2+ years post-graduate work experience.
*Clean national criminal record check.
*120-hour TEFL certificate (You can apply first and complete the course later).
*A creative, energetic individual who loves teaching and has a good sense of humour.
*Willingness to participate in school events and performances (Halloween, Christmas, etc.).
*Weekend availability is required.
Salary & benefits
*Competitive salary: 20,000 – 23,000 RMB per month.
*Legal Z-visa, with full support through the application process.
*Visa fees fully reimbursed after probation.
*Flights reimbursed on arrival.

*Paid public holidays + 5-7 days of annual leave (additional days added if contract is renewed.)
*A contract completion bonus of up to one month’s salary.
