SeekTeachers is urgently seeking an experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our client's expanding team in Hangzhou. The role is to start immediately and you will be teaching English to high school children following the IGCSE and A Level syllabus. The candidate will guide guide students in developing strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, while also fostering creativity and critical thinking. From early literacy to advanced IGCSE and A-Level study, students gain the confidence to express themselves clearly, appreciate diverse perspectives, and engage with literature and communication in ways that prepare them for academic success and life beyond school.
The school is located on an idyllic lakeside site surrounded by beautiful scenery including tea fields and bamboo forests. Requirements to apply:
*Degree in English, English Language, Linguistics, Education, or a closely related field
*Recognised teaching qualification, license or certification, such as UK QTS/PGCE
*At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience
*Experience teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) or English as an Additional Language (EAL) at Secondary level
*Strong understanding of second-language acquisition and academic English development
*Experience teaching within an international, bilingual, British or comparable Secondary school environment
*Able to meet Chinese work-permit requirements
*Able to join the school as soon as possible
