Bilingual Science Teacher (Biology background) – Chinese and English
August 2026 start
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bilingual Science Teacher (Biology) to join our client's dynamic school community in Chongqing. The successful candidate will be fluent in both Chinese and English, and have a strong background in Biology, with experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) Biology.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and challenging Science/Biology lessons to IGCSE and IBDP students in both English and Chinese.
- Foster an inquiry-based approach to science learning and promote critical thinking skills.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
- Support students’ academic progress and well-being through effective pastoral care.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in a bilingual, multicultural environment.
Qualifications and Experience
*Bachelor’s degree or above in Biology, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
*Valid teaching qualification (PGCE, Teaching License, or equivalent).
*Demonstrated experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or IBDP Biology.
*Excellent proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).
*Commitment to international education and cross-cultural collaboration.
