About the school:
Our client is a private school follows the IBPYP & MYP programme that offers education service for children age 2- 18 year old. The school is located in Guangzhou with great transport links that takes you to other cities in China such as Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Zhuhai/Macau. The school campus has a wide range of facilities such as IT rooms, library, good size classrooms, indoor playroom and also out door facilities such track field, swimming pool and a huge outdoor playground in order to provide a good teaching and learning environment for both the staff and students.
Our client is currently looking for a Director of Innovation Centre (STEM) to join their expanding team.
The Director of the Innovation Centre has both academic and operational responsibilities, and should be seen to unite these perspectives, bringing an academic understanding to the sales, marketing, and development of STEM products, and bring an operational competence to all STEM activities delivered by the Innovation Centre. The Director of the Innovation Centre unites the academic and operational staff to deliver world class STEM services as part of the core curricula of and all campuses, as well as across co-curricular activities. The Director of the Innovation Centre ensure that the Innovation Centre delivers international-quality English and Chinese-medium education, which is dynamic, progressive, and culturally responsive.
Requirements to apply:
- Have a min of 5 years' experience within an internaitonal school setting or a high-quality domestic school
- Education management experience (preferably STEM related)
- Computer proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to liaise and communicate with Chinese staff and parents in their own language (preferred)
- Evidence of cultural sensitivity and ability to work cross-culturally within China (highly desirable)
- STEM industrial experience (preferred)
