The Role
The Head of Senior School provides strategic and operational leadership for students aged 11–18, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, wellbeing, and academic outcomes. Reporting directly to the Head of College, the successful candidate will work closely with the wider leadership team to shape the future direction of the school and contribute to its continued growth and success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing visionary leadership for all aspects of the Senior School.
- Leading and developing a high-performing team of academic and pastoral leaders.
- Promoting exceptional standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and curriculum development.
- Ensuring outstanding pastoral care and safeguarding for all students.
- Driving continuous school improvement through strategic planning and evidence-informed practice.
- Building strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
- Supporting university guidance and ensuring students are well prepared for higher education worldwide.
- Contributing to the overall strategic leadership of the College.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
*A recognised teaching qualification and relevant university degree.
*Extensive leadership experience within a high-performing secondary or senior school.
*Proven success in improving teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
*Experience leading British curriculum programmes, including IGCSE and A Level (experience with IB is advantageous).
*Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
*A collaborative leadership style with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop others.
*Strong organisational, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
*A genuine commitment to student wellbeing and holistic education.
*Previous international school leadership experience is highly desirable.
