About the School
Our respected IB World School in Wuxi is seeking a dedicated, innovative, and student-focused Secondary English Teacher to join their expanding secondary team. The school offers the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), providing a rigorous, inquiry-driven education within a supportive, internationally minded community.
Position Overview
As part of our dynamic English department, you will deliver high-quality English instruction to secondary school students. You will foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature and language in an inspiring, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the IB MYP/DP frameworks
- Use a range of assessment strategies to support and evaluate student learning
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Contribute to curriculum development and collaborative planning
- Support extended learning, including after-school support or enrichment
- Participate in school events, community activities, and ongoing professional development
- Uphold the school’s commitment to student wellbeing, safeguarding, and international-mindedness
Requirements
*A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed, DipEd).
*A degree in English, English Literature, or a closely related field.
*Minimum of 2 years’ full-time teaching experience (preferably in a high-performing international or independent school).
*A passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
*Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
