Key Responsibilities
- Teach high school Philosophy across various grade levels, potentially including advanced elective courses (e.g., Ethics, Theory of Knowledge–style, Logic, or Global Perspectives).
- Foster thoughtful discussion, respectful debate, and deep conceptual understanding.
- Use diverse assessment strategies to support and evaluate student learning.
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities / Social Sciences department.
- Serve as a homeroom advisor and participate actively in the school’s pastoral care programme.
- Support student engagement through co-curricular activities such as debate, philosophy clubs, service learning, or academic competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to maintain a positive, inclusive, and intellectually vibrant learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience
*Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy or a closely related field; Master’s degree preferred.
*Valid teaching qualification/certification.
*Successful experience teaching high school students, ideally in an international or bilingual school setting.
*Ability to guide students in analytical writing, reasoning, and ethical inquiry.
