An established bilingual international school in Shanghai is seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered High School Psychology Teacher to join its faculty beginning in August 2026. The school offers a rigorous academic programme that blends international best practice with a strong emphasis on holistic development, global citizenship, and personal wellbeing.
 
Key Responsibilities
*Teach high school Psychology across various grade levels, including advanced courses (e.g., AP/IB-style or equivalent), depending on experience.
*Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that foster critical thinking and support diverse learners.
*Use a range of assessments to monitor progress and guide instruction.
*Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities / Social Sciences department.
*Serve as a homeroom advisor and participate fully in the pastoral care system.
*Support co-curricular programmes such as clubs, community service, or experiential learning.
*Collaborate closely with colleagues, students, and parents to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
 
Qualifications & Experience
*Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field; Master’s degree preferred.
*Valid teaching qualification/certification.
*Successful experience teaching high school Psychology, ideally in an international or bilingual context.
*Strong understanding of adolescent development and cross-cultural education.
*Commitment to professional growth and reflective practice.
*Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:

Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted
Additional:
**International teaching experience is beneficial
**Bilingual teacher preferred but not essential
**Able to support the school residential programme
**Able to supervise and/or lead co-curricular activity during activity time
**Able to lead pastoral programme

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
