The Role:
The school is urgently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and proactive Learning Support Teacher to join their student support team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring all students—especially those with diverse learning needs—are able to access the curriculum and thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and support students with learning needs across the middle school
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs)
- Deliver targeted interventions, both in-class and through small-group or 1:1 sessions
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting support strategies as needed
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and external specialists where applicable
- Promote inclusive practices and contribute to whole-school understanding of differentiated learning
- Provide guidance and training to staff to support inclusive teaching practices
Qualifications and Experience:
*Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education (Master’s preferred)
*Formal qualification in Special Educational Needs (e.g. SENCO, inclusion certification, or equivalent)
*Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, with specific experience in learning support or inclusion roles
*Familiarity with a range of learning needs (e.g. ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum)
*Experience in a bilingual or international setting preferred
*Fluent English speaker (Mandarin an advantage but not essential)
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
