Regent International School in Dubai is based about 20 minutes from the centre and is a medium size international school. It delivers the UK National Curriculum to students aged 3-18. It has recently expanded to offer A’ level to its students. In a recent report by the UAE KHDA authority the school has been given a Good with some outstanding features.
The school is medium sized with some very nice facilities including a 5 a side football field, indoor gymnasium. Unlike most schools in the Middle East this school has made good use of technology in the classrooms by ensuring there is a PC for every teacher in the classroom. In addition the school have smart boards and projectors and utilises a full virtual learning environment to ensure all grading and timetabling is online.
The school is much in favour of being part of the community and gets people, including parents involved. Students come from about 48 different nationalities and the majority of the teachers are qualified from the UK with a PGCE holding QTS or have experience of the UK National Curriculum so there is consistency in the classroom.
The school is very colourful with many of the walls having wall displays for students to learn and engage. The school believes in provided cost effective and value for money education to students and aims to provide high quality education within a caring and personalised environment. The curriculum looks to engage students in and out of the classroom so they are best prepared for further education and life.
