The Role:
As part of our dynamic English department, you will deliver high-quality English instruction to secondary school students. You will foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature and language in an inspiring, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language and Literature to students across Key Stages.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with curriculum standards (IGCSE & IBDP).
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or pastoral support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental resources and teaching strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
*A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed, DipEd).
*A degree in English, English Literature, or a closely related field.
*Minimum of 4 years’ full-time teaching experience (preferably in a high-performing international or independent school).
*A passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
*Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Desirable:
*Experience with international curricula (e.g. Cambridge IGCSE, A-Level, IB).
*Commitment to continuous professional development.
*Familiarity with using educational technology to enhance learning.
