ESL Teacher – Adult Learners (Ages 20–35)

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to join our client's team in Macau. This position focuses on teaching adult learners aged 20–35, many of whom are professionals or university students aiming to enhance their English skills for academic, business, or travel purposes.
You will be based in a modern, well equipped centre. The class sizes are kept small, to an average of 7 to 14 students per class, which helps ensure real progress is made by all and allows for easy classroom management. Lessons are made up of a variety of teaching materials and are designed to be engaging and communicative. Teachers guide students through both controlled practice and authentic conversation activities. All the lesson materials are already in place, but still minimal lesson
planning is required.
Key Responsibilities:
• 30 teaching hours + 10 office hours per week
• Teach a variety of English classes to a range of abilities
• Ensure students learn and progress and receive the support and encouragement needed
• Take part in social activities
• Promote and preserve a pleasant and courteous atmosphere in the center
• Participate in short, educable videos for social media
Due to the very strict visa regulations in Macau, all foreign teachers must meet the following requirements:
• Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa
• Bachelors Degree in English/English Literature
• PGCE in Secondary English (Degree and Teaching Qualification must be in line with the subject)
• Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience (up to A-level)
• 120 hour TEFL certificate or CELTA required
• No criminal history

• International Teaching experienced preferred
