Make a difference teaching math, science, and other STEM subjects for three loving, talented highly gifted kids (all 3 are Davidson Young Scholars), doing grade 3-10 level curriculum and projects. Prior experience with competitive academics, innovative teaching methods, challenging gifted curriculum etc. helpful. Able to teach math and science up to high school level (such as chemistry, physics etc. in an interactive manner) and other subjects per your ability.
Candidate should be a dynamic, progressive, tech-savvy teacher familiar with top online curricula and interactive simulations (such as Art of Problem Solving, GeoGebra, Physics, Khan Academy, etc.). In general, our educational approach has been either project-based learning, or 1:1 tutoring with expert teachers, or experiential/game-based learning. Their curriculum is currently supplemented with complementary activities such as chess, art, martial arts, and dance. All three kids are generally 2-5 years ahead of “grade-level” in most areas but have been raised as fun-loving island “world school” kids.
Kids are multi-ethnic (South Asian/East Asian/European) and being raised as expats. Dad is a retired physician/author raised in the USA. Current winter residence is in
Boracay - Philippines (
Asia) — with frequent travel to other parts of Asia, Europe, and America.
Requirements:
**A teaching degree is preferred but not required
**Elementary/middle or high school education background or strong aptitude/interest (ideally a BA/MA or better in Education, math/science), ideally work experience in an International School or tutoring kids of expat families, or with gifted kids
**Ideally energized by high aptitude kids and non-traditional educational methods (problem based, Makerspace movement, coaching academic competitions, etc.)
**Usually live out / nearby, willing and enjoys international travel
**Flexible, creative, energetic, honest, responsible, easy going and proven high intelligence

Additional Requirements:
**A very bright/creative person who loves kids, preferably exposed to the expat/international science high school type curriculum. Masters or better in math or science education is a plus
**Keeps the kids engaged in educational activities and implement a hybrid curriculum (in person, online, experience based, DIY/makerspace, etc.)
**At least one other full time professional teacher and a helper/assistant teacher are also part of the team.
Salary Package & Benefits:
**Competitive Monthly Salary From
$4,000 - $8,000+ USD/monthly (
£2,822- £5,645 GBP) – Depending on experience, travel flexibility etc.for a full-time position plus great employer funded travel experience.
**Position is for long-term (1-2+ years ideally, but we will consider shorter term candidates.
**Starts immediately or within one month.
**Position includes regular international travel, usually months at a time to vacation destinations in Asia, Europe and the Americas
