One of our prestigious clients is recruiting an IBDP Art teacher for August 2018 start. This is a permanent position and based in the beautiful Shanghai city. The suitable candidate must have a degree in Fine Art or relevant subject and a teaching qualification from western country.
This private school follows Chinese national curriculum as well as International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum from Grade 1 – 12. The whole school has just over 1,000 students from 5 to 18 years old. The majority students are Chinese national with approximately 10% expatriate students.
The school is situated in the outskirts of the city which provides a greenery and clean environment for students. The school has a modern and large campus with excellent facilities provided for both students and staff.
The teaching hour consists of less than 20 hours per week from Monday to Friday and professional development is provided to all staff exposure their success and promotes high quality of learning.
Duties and responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare and deliver lessons up to IBDP level and meet the needs of all students through differentiation of tasks
*Ensure the course material and syllabus are up to date
*Supervise and assist students in all lab based activities
*Set clear targets for students’ learning
*Monitor, assess and record students’ learning progress
*Maintain good order and discipline amongst students in accordance with school’s behaviour policy
*Communicate with parents and ensure they aware of their child’s progress
*Participate in parents meeting
*Participate in department meeting
*Participate in Continuous Professional Development training
