Hummingbird Early Learning Centre first opened its doors to the public in June 2008 to serve the growing community of parents who want to provide their children with the best opportunities for early learning and education in a caring, secure and stimulating environment. 

 

The Hummingbird ELC aims to provide more than a simple child care facility. It’s goal is to offer a first-class centre offering a full and integrated early education to young children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years. The centre’s convenient location in one of the best regions in Dubai which means that parents working close to the area can now feel more involved in the day-to-day care and education of their children without a long commute.

 

The Hummingbird ELC consists of a team of highly qualified and experienced child care and education professionals, with capabilities in structured childcare and planned pre-school learning, play and activities ensure that this is one of the foremost centres for child learning and development in Dubai. The Hummingbird ELC believes that children are special and that their minds must be carefully nurtured from a young age. Therefore, we put a great deal of thought into providing the centre's services and facilities, within a purpose-built pre-school learning activity and care facility offering children a safe caring and stimulating environment.

The Hummingbird ELC is an international early learning centre following the framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Its curriculum ensures that each child's abilities are nurtured and works to prepare them for entry into primary school as the next phase of their education.

 

The Hummingbird ELC follows UK Practice Guidelines for the EYFS programme. The EYFS principles are based on the belief that each child is unique. It works to foster positive relationships, to provide enabling environments and to encourage learning and development at this crucial stage of a child’s education. 

 

The ELS provides a carefully structured early learning programme designed to meet all the needs of young children and to help to develop their minds, encourage learning and interaction, and stimulate, guide and encourage the child's cognitive, social, emotional, physical and creative development. As each child is unique, it tailors its learning programmes to suit each particular child’s requirements, and to encourage each child's individual pattern of growth and development.

 

The Hummingbird ELC focuses on the six key areas of a child's development:
