Chemistry Teacher

SeekTeachers is seeking an experienced Chemistry teacher to join our client in Beijing, China. Located in the Chaoyang District, the school offers modern, state-of-the-art facilities and currently enrols over 800 students from K–12. The school follows a dual curriculum in its Primary and Lower Secondary divisions, integrating both the Chinese and English curricula. Students in High School then progress to rigorous international programmes such as IGCSE, followed by either A Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with international curricula such as IGCSE, A Level, or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
*Teach core Chemistry concepts including atomic structure, chemical reactions, organic and inorganic chemistry, and practical laboratory techniques.
*Design and supervise projects and experiments that develop students’ problem-solving, innovation, and critical thinking skills.
*Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
*Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including lab assessments and practical components.
*Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, participate in professional development, and engage in school initiatives and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Experience
*Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Science/Education or a related subject.
*A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
*Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
*Experience teaching international curricula such as IGCSE, A Level, or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is highly desirable.
*Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Mathematics across secondary levels.
*Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
