The Role
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of Primary Physical Education to lead and develop the school's PE provision across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 (ages 3–11).
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and teach PE across the Primary age range.
- Design and implement an engaging, progressive PE curriculum that develops fundamental movement skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of physical activity.
- Coordinate and enhance the Primary sports and extra-curricular programme, including inter-house and inter-school competitions.
- Support, mentor, and guide staff in delivering high-quality PE lessons.
- Promote a culture of health, wellbeing, and inclusivity in all aspects of school life.
- Contribute actively to the wider co-curricular and pastoral programmes of the school.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A recognised teaching qualification and a relevant degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- A proven record of successful Primary PE teaching and leadership experience.
- A passion for physical education, student wellbeing, and holistic development.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to inspire students and staff through creativity, collaboration, and high expectations.
- Experience in an international school environment (preferred, but not essential).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
