The Role:
This role supports children with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum, develop skills, and thrive socially and emotionally through tailored strategies and collaboration with teachers and families.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs, ensuring their learning, social, and emotional needs are met.
*Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to adapt learning materials, monitor progress, and promote inclusion.
*Assist in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
*Use strategies to support communication, behaviour, and independence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Education or a related field (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification preferred).
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, ideally within a British curriculum setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring young minds.
- Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
