Description

The United Arab Emirates remains a global hot spot for tourism and is the beacon for financial success. It continues to reinvest in all the sectors and continued success making it a global player with its economic strength as western countries struggle the UAE strives forward. The number of expats continues to rise in the country and the demands on schools in correlation also rises.

United Arab Emirates is at the forefront of education reform in the Middle East, continued investment and clear drive from the leaders of the country sees more quality educators leaving struggling economies and heading to the TAX free luxury packages of the Gulf. Not to forget the wonderful all year round sunshine.

This organisation is a technology college that educate local Emirati students aged from 14 through to 18. The college are now world famous with massive investment from the King and campus buildings that look like small airports rather than educational facilities.

Recently our client visited the UK and the US to recruit for their educational organisation based across the United Arab Emirates. As their reputation sky rockets the demand for leading educators in their team rises. Not only are they recruiting for one of the existing 7 campus locations but also 2 new state of the art iCampus locations which are planned to open in January 2014.

The students have an Arabic mother tongue where English is a second language. With this the school are looking for candidates who have experience with ESL and have excellent strategies to apply in circumstances. There is a major focus on teachers having to slow their pace of delivery because although they have excellent subject knowledge they cannot deliver successfully to students where English is a second language.

Technology is also a strong focus for the group as they have pioneered the use of Apple technology in education in their campus locations. Two of the campus locations are iCapmus buildings where the use of Apple education is used throughout the students every day tasks. The others have elements of Apple technology but will eventually become ICampus as results continue to shine.

The curriculum delivered at this educational organisation is based on the British curriculum but has been adjusted to suit the technology aspect and also what the UAE is expecting from their future generations with heavy investment in the construction and aviation sectors.
