Director of Curriculum

SeekTeachers is urgently looking for an experienced Director of Curriculum to join our client in Oman in the next academic year.
Our client is an established international school founded in 2002 and throughout the years, the school grew from just 50 to over 900 children and in time provided an education for girls and boys from the ages of 3 to 18. The international school follows a hybrid curriculum with elements taken from the National Curriculum of England and Wales, the IPC and IMYW from Fieldwork education and the curricular set by Cambridge Assessment International Education for IGCS/A Level for all students.
Overview of the position:
*Middle & Senior Leadership development
*Mentoring acting Primary Principal
*KG development, mentoring and overseeing (staff & curriculum)
*Development of Teacher Standards & Appraisals
*Curriculum mapping KG - 12
*Upskilling teachers
*"Omani Teacher Assistant to Teacher" training/development
*CIS Accreditation process
Please note that the role is a Senior position for 1 to 2 years (but not on the Senior LeadershipTeam), then reverts to a Middle Leadership position.
Requirements
- A bachelor degree or higher in Education or related subject
- A valid state teaching license or professional teaching qualification in Education
- At least 2 years of relevant experience (2-3 years of continuous in one school, supply work are not considered)
- Must have an excellent command of written and spoken English
- Should be willing to respect the Omani and Islamic culture in terms of dress code and decent language.
Essential experience in:
*Developing young teachers
*Teacher training experience
*Experience offering quality & interactive PD
*Full understanding & experience in KG
*Principal &/or Campus Principal experience
*Taught KG, Primary & Secondary
*Understand/experience with the Accreditation process (preferably CIS)
*Experience with Curriculum development
*Previous experience in ME
Salary Package

TAX-FREE salary from 2,000 to 3,500 Omani Riyal( based on their qualifications, experiences and competency of the candidate)
