Nursery Manager | Montessori Manager | Montessori Directress

NEW Montessori Nursery opening in the United Arab Emirates in JANUARY 2019. I am seeking an experienced Nursery Manager that has experience of the Montessori and or EYFS Curriculum. 

The ideal candidate would have experience of managing a nursery with over 150 students. The state-of-the-art nursery will be opening in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. My client has built up an established brand of nurseries in the region that deliver the UK EYFS, Montessori, Emilio Reggio fused with a trilingual programme where students can open their mind to different languages and cultures. 

The ideal Nursery Manager will be up to date with Modern Montessori pedagogy or the latest in Early Childhood philosophy and be a real team player that has hands-on operations experience.
Requirements to Apply
  1. Degree in Early Childhood
  2. An M.Ed in Early Childhood
  3. A Montessori Qualification is HIGHLY desirable
  4. At least 3 years of management experience as a Regional or Operational Director
  5. EXCELLENT written and spoken command of English
  6. Western-trained
  7. Tech-Savvy

In order for the Nursery Group to be the best in the Middle East, the CEO is looking for someone that has "walked the walk" and is able to lead by example.  Someone that has a passion for early years and can identify the strengths and weaknesses of an organisation and knows just what it takes to be able to effectively invoke change management where and when needed in line with the CEO's goals.
Job Description
  1. Ensuring all nursery policies and procedures are compliant with all laws, the council’s policies and civil regulations for the nursery, its employees and children.
  2. Developing and guiding the implementing the curriculum based on the Montessori Method with a multi-lingual element (English, French & Arabic).
  3. Creating a strong partnership with parents and ensuring they are an integral part of the nursery while building close communication channels with them to ensure utmost success of building the strong foundation of their children.
  4. Supervising the development of the multi-lingual Montessori curriculum through 'observation, planning and assessment' procedures. 
  5. Handle the content and announcements on social media.
  6. Handle all the HR related issues and employees relations of the nursery along with the HR department and escalate to Regional Director if necessary.
  7. Handle parents’ complaints and problems and escalate only if necessary to the Area Director.
  8. Handle the Nursery legal contracts renewal and signing in coordination with the Head office.
  9. Developing the annual educational calendar regarding the subjects, programmes and ensures that all children receive educational experiences that confirm to Kids First Group’s philosophy, vision, mission, and values.
  10. Driving the development and following up of enrichment programme extra-curricular activities.
  11. Managing and evaluating the procedures to operate and manage the Nursery in a manner that supports its philosophy, values, and mission. This includes the program curriculum and its implementation, non-curricular activities, discipline system, employee management, office operations, emergency/safety, and hygiene procedures.
  12. Recruiting suitable staff and managing employee and staff affairs.
  13. Establishing professional collaboration, respect and positive attitude towards children, parents, and employees.
  14. Serving as an appropriate role model for children and employees. Dress and act appropriately at all times
  15. Holding regular staff meetings and in-house Montessori and early years training sessions to ensure constant upgrading of the nursery programme.
  16. Implementing an effective inventory system on all supplies, material, and equipment of the nursery.
  17. Implementing procedures to create and maintain an inspiring, welcoming, hygienic and safe facility including attention to sound and temperature control.
  18. Evaluating and putting in place training and development program for direct reports and ensure the same is done by the direct reports for their subordinates.
  19. Building and maintain a solid and professional relationship with the concerned ministries, Municipality, and Civil Defence Authorities.
  20. Promoting the nursery and maximizing registration to ensure the agreed targets agreed with the management are met at all times.
  21. Adhere to agreed Nursery Budget on all aspects.
The role is more suited to single candidates with no children or a small family due to the package on offer. Candidates will need to sponsor the family members.

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 28000 up to 30000  AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
State/Public medical provided

Gratuity Amount:
Gratuity Amount of the end of service bonus pay is 3 weeks per annum completed and paid at the end of the contract is provided

**Bonus on hitting KPI is 60% of the basic salary x 3 months - KPI's are set with the CEO
