Teach in Qatar for the next academic year. Our client is looking for female English teachers to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering the UK National Curriculum up to A level standard. The school is an all-girls school located in Doha, Qatar which has about 1400 students on roll. The academic results have improved a lot which explains the reason why more and more females want to attend this school. If you have taught in the GCC or have experience teaching non-native speakers of English this would be an ideal school for you.
 
This school’s reputation is one of the best in the region due to its success of delivering the UKNC with an Islamic value.  The school opened its doors in 1996 to deliver to local Arab students. It is a fully accredited school by the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and Edexcel. It was recently also accredited by Qatar National School Accreditation (QNSA).
 
English Teacher Salary Package
** TAX-FREE salary ranging from 9000-13000 QAR per month

The school aims to prepare a generation of female students that are faithful to their origin, committed, dedicated to academic excellence and engaged with humanity. The school caters from students from KG1 up to Grade 12. The building is segregated for Early Years, Primary and Secondary.  Students come from a range of countries such as: Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Bosnia, United States, Iraq, Syria, Bahrain, Oman, Spain, UAE, South African, Libya, Canada, Pakistan, Sudan, Malaysia, Srilanka, France, Iran, Australia, Algeria, Portugal, Singapore and United Kingdom. There about 1400 students on roll with about 170 staff. Most of the staff are highly experience with more than 5 years teaching experience and some have over 20 years in education.
 
English Teacher Requirements to Apply
**Degree in English
**A PGCE in English or valid teaching license English
**A TEFL or CELTA is preferred
**Ideally 2 years teaching experience although NQT's will be considered
**Western-trained preferably
**An excellent command of written and spoken English
**Tech savvy
**Have experience of the UK National Curriculum 
**Candidates that have experience teaching in an Islamic faith school will be preferred or those that have taught in the GCC

**Be well organised and have all your lesson plans up to date
**Carry out formative and summative assessment
**Ensure your lessons are well differentiated to meet the needs of your students
**Contribute to raising the standards of students’ academic attainment

**Manage the quality of teaching and learning within English
**Use effective target settings for all your students
**Have excellent classroom management skills

**Follow Schemes of Work in line with all the teachers in the English Department
**To lead, monitor and evaluate the assessment and feedback to students in line with whole school and
department policy
**To follow department monitoring and tracking systems relating to student’s attainment, progress and
achievement
**Mark, grade and give written/verbal and diagnostic feedback as required
**Undertake assessment of students as requested by external examination bodies, curriculum areas and
school procedures
**Assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of students and to
keep such records as are required
**Complete the relevant documentation to assist in the tracking of students
**To follow department policy regarding department tracking of student progress and use information to
inform learning and teaching
**Follow setting and coordinating assessment arrangements in English at all Key Stages and in all areas as
required by school policies, including standardising those assessment
**To attend staff CPD sessions
**To take part in staff development programmes of deliver INSET's if you have experience of doing so
**Carry out lunchtime duty
**Attend staff briefing
**Help underachieving students after school
**Take part in school activities
**Ensure your marking/assessment is up to date
**Differentiate your lessons to meet the needs of your students
**Be an excellent role model for the students
**Create amazing wall displays to promote the work of students
**Attend parents evening when needed
