Our client is looking for a teacher of science to be able to deliver Chemistry. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching IBDP or USA Common Core. Students are mainly Emirati with about 15% expatriate students. You will be a teacher that is able to make the learning of Chemistry fun and engaging and make it more practical and hands on.

The school was established in 2002 and has since become accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organisation and AdvancED. The school works closely much like a family and is a busy environment with about 2000 students on campus. 
 
The labs are quite spacious and you also have a lab technician to help you prepare your resources.  As a teacher of chemistry you will be required to:
  • Plan and prepare your resources prior to your lessons
  • Make learning fun but making it relative to students
  • Assess students on an on-going basis
  • Carry out differentiated learning to meet the needs of your learning
  • Plan lessons collaboratively with other members of the science team
  • Attend Science department meetings
  • Attend and contribute to staff debriefings
  • Help in after school activities and science clubs
  • Ensure your working environment is always clean and safe for students to learn
  • Carry out lunch time break duty
  • Be an excellent communicator and team player
  • Promote Science throughout the school and the benefits to society
  • Attend parents evening and field trips
  • Able to communicate effectively with parents

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: Degree in Science with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered
Prefer candidates with international experience
Additional:
**Experience of the IB Curriculum is beneficial but not essential as training will be given
**Degree should be in Science or Chemistry

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 12000 up to 14800   AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
