A distinguished international school in China is looking for an engaging and dynamic IBMYP Chemistry teacher to join them immediately.
This is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school located in the suburb of Beijing. The school is an IBO school and provides education to children from Grade 1 to Grade 12 delivering the IBPYP, MYP and DP.
The private school has over 2,000 students at present with 90% Chinese and 10% expatriates. Students are hardworking and keen to learn. The school also has over 100 teaching staff with over 20 different nationalities.
Job duties:
- Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the students in the programme
- Ensure equipment and facilities are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
- Provide a safe and secure environment for students to feel comfortable
- Establish policies and procedures including acceptable disciplinary policies
- Implement positive discipline when necessary
- Ensure students are supervised at all times
- Build students’ esteem
- Establish routines and provide positive guidance
The work week is comprised of 36 teaching hours a week and staff get approximately 50 days holiday per year. The school has a large campus with well-equipped facilities such as 25m indoor heated swimming pool, 400m athletic tracks, rugby field, tennis courts, basketball courts, theatre, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, medical centre and cafeteria which provide students the chance to have the greatest number of options and advantages for their personal and academic development.
