Our client is currently recruiting for a professional and experienced Chemistry teacher for a permanent opportunity in the capital of China. This private school is catering for more than 2000 students composed of majority local Chinese students and 10% expat students, and all students are happy, confident and willing to learn.
This is one of the biggest schools in the city located in the outskirts of Beijing. The school has chosen both international and Chinese national curriculum for students from pre-school to high school. There are more than 200 staff in the school mixed with 60% composed of expatriates and 40% non-expatriates. Continuing professional development is provided for all staff to ensure their success and promotion of high quality learning. The maximum teaching hour is 20-22 hours 5 days a week and approximately 4-6 weeks holiday per annum.
Job descriptions:
*To teach across the age and ability range as necessary
*To assist in the preparation and marking of assessments
*To liaise closely with the Head of Science on all matters relating to Chemistry
*To ensure that all classes are taught according to the curriculum and examination syllabus
*To assist and supervise all laboratory activities
*To ensure that marking, assessment techniques and record keeping are carried out in accordance with the school policies
*To coordinate the preparation of all test and mark schemes in Chemistry
*To attend all formal Science department meeting
*To participate in department meetings
*To maintain classroom discipline
