Description

Male Social Studies Teacher needed ASAP in Abu Dhabi - IMMEDIATE START!!!

Our client is looking for a teacher of Social Studies that meets the following requirement;
**Degree in History/Geography/Social studies or equivalent
**A PGCE or teaching qualification
**At least 2 years full time teaching experience
**Stable work experience with little movement and supply work on the CV
**Be an native speaker of English
**Western trained
**Experience of the Common Core curriculum or the IB curriculum is preferred
 
You should be able to promote an enquiry based learning model and if you have experience of teaching Arabic Students it will be beneficial to your application. You need to energetic and motivated to work with students that are lively and keen to learn. The school mainly has western trained teachers serving an IB and Common Core Curriculum to students that are mainly Emirati. There are about 10% expatriate students

Job Description
**Plan effective lessons of Social Studies
**Create resources prior to your lessons so your students are focused on and on task
**Experience using MS Office and multimedia software like Dreamweaver, Flash, Director is essential
**Have excellent classroom management
**Be able assess students digitally
**Ensure students reporting are all up to date as per the school online computer system
**Work closely with ICT Technician's to get the support needed to deliver high calibre lessons
**Report to the Head of Department for ICT
**Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute
**Ensure computer equipment is safe so there are no hazards in the classroom

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 12000 up to 14800   AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
