Social Studies & History Teacher – American School, New Cairo
 
An established American international school in New Cairo is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Social Studies & History Teacher to join its academic team. The successful candidate will inspire students to think critically about history, geography, civics, and global issues while fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment within an American curriculum framework.
 
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Studies and History to Middle School and/or High School students
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the American curriculum standards
- Encourage critical thinking, research, discussion, and analytical skills
- Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
- Assess student learning and provide timely and constructive feedback
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Integrate technology and interactive teaching methods into lessons
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and professional development activities
- Maintain effective communication with parents and school leadership
 
Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree in History, Social Studies, Education, or a related field
*Teaching qualification/certification preferred
*Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience
*Experience in an American or international school setting is an advantage
*Excellent command of spoken and written English
*Strong classroom management and organizational skills
*Passion for education and student development
*The school strongly prefers: Egyptian nationals or candidates with dual nationality who are based in Egypt

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Salary Range:
