Middle School & High School English Teacher – American School, New Cairo
An established American international school in New Cairo is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Middle School & High School English Teacher to join its academic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about literature, language, and student development, and is committed to delivering engaging instruction within an American curriculum framework.
Key Responsibilities
*Teach English Language Arts and/or Literature to Middle School and High School students
*Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons aligned with the American curriculum
*Encourage critical thinking, analytical writing, reading comprehension, and effective communication skills
*Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
*Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
*Differentiate instruction to support a range of learning abilities
*Integrate technology and interactive teaching strategies into classroom instruction
*Communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues
*Participate actively in school meetings, events, and professional development activities
Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
*Teaching qualification/certification preferred
*Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in Middle School and/or High School English
*Experience in an American or international school setting is an advantage
*Excellent command of spoken and written English
*Strong classroom management and organisational skills
*Passion for teaching and supporting student achievement
*The school strongly prefers: Egyptian nationals or candidates with dual nationality who are based in Egypt
