This vibrant and rapidly expanding school is gearing up to launch its IGCSE and A Level cohorts, and they’re looking for a passionate educator to play a key role in bringing history to life for their students.

This role offers the chance to teach and inspire the next generation of historians while contributing to the development of a modern, forward-thinking educational environment. If you’re someone who’s eager to make a significant impact, work in an exciting and dynamic school community, and take on new challenges, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach History at both IGCSE and A Level, creating engaging lessons that inspire students to think critically about the past and understand its relevance to today’s world.
- Curriculum Development: Work alongside colleagues to create and implement an innovative and engaging History curriculum, aligned with the best practices of the British education system.
- Assessment & Feedback: Provide detailed feedback and assessments to students, guiding them towards academic success while encouraging independent research and critical thinking.
- Boarding Duties: Take on boarding responsibilities, helping to support and mentor students outside of class, ensuring they thrive academically and personally in the school community.
- Extra-curricular Engagement: Lead or participate in exciting activities such as history clubs, field trips, and events that deepen students’ connection to history beyond the classroom.

What We’re Looking For:
*A degree in History (or a related field) and a deep passion for the subject.
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
*Experience teaching History at IGCSE and A Level, with a strong focus on inquiry-based learning and fostering a passion for historical study.
*A dynamic and creative teaching style, capable of bringing history to life and sparking curiosity in students.
*A commitment to holistic development of students, with the ability to take on boarding duties and contribute to their growth beyond the classroom.
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Desirable:
*Familiarity with the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) curriculum.
*Previous experience teaching in an international school environment.
*An interest or experience in organising extra-curricular activities (debates, history trips, cultural events, etc.).

Why This Role is Exciting:
*Play a Key Role: As part of a growing school, your work will help shape both the future of the students and the direction of the history department.
*Competitive Salary & Benefits: We offer a competitive salary, along with accommodation, transportation, and healthcare benefits.
*Professional Development: Be part of an innovative school that is dedicated to the professional growth of its staff, offering plenty of opportunities for training and career progression.
*Vibrant Location: Live and work in Lagos, one of Africa’s most vibrant cities, offering a rich blend of culture, history, and adventure
