About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chinese-speaking Primary School Teacher to deliver high-quality Mandarin Chinese and Visual Arts education to our client's primary-aged pupils in Shenzhen. This is a unique dual-subject teaching role that combines language acquisition with creative expression.
The successful candidate must hold a valid Hong Kong Teacher Registration Certificate, as per school policy and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate Mandarin Chinese lessons for primary students.
- Plan and teach creative Visual Arts lessons, incorporating a variety of techniques and materials.
- Integrate Chinese culture and art into the curriculum where appropriate.
- Assess and report on student progress regularly, tailoring instruction to individual needs.
- Foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that encourages curiosity and expression.
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to interdisciplinary learning projects.
- Support school events, including cultural celebrations, exhibitions, and performances.
Essential Requirements:
*Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).
*Valid Hong Kong Teacher Registration Certificate (required).
*Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, B.Ed, QTS or international equivalent).
*Experience teaching Chinese language and/or Visual Arts at the primary level.
*Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student-centred learning.
*Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable:
*Experience in a bilingual or international school setting.
*Familiarity with the Chinese national curriculum, Hong Kong curriculum, or IB PYP.
*Ability to lead or support extracurricular activities related to language, culture, or the arts.
