A reputable international school in the UAE is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Swimming Coach to join their Physical Education department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming instruction, ensuring student safety, and helping build a strong competitive swim program.
Conduct engaging and safe swimming lessons for students of all skill levels (beginner to advanced)
Develop swimmers' technique, strength, endurance, and water confidence
Organize and lead school swim teams for competitions and inter-school meets
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times in the pool area
Coordinate with PE staff and leadership to support school-wide fitness initiatives
Assist in planning and executing school events, swim galas, and sports days
Maintain swimming equipment and ensure cleanliness of the pool area
Certified Swimming Instructor/Coach (e.g., ASA, STA, AUSTSWIM, or equivalent)
2+ years of experience coaching or teaching swimming in a school or club setting
Strong classroom management and motivational skills
Knowledge of competitive swimming techniques and training plans
First Aid and Lifeguard certification (preferred)
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Based in the UAE or willing to relocate
