About the School

A highly respected American curriculum school in Sharjah is seeking a qualified and passionate Female Physics Teacher to join its science faculty. The school is committed to delivering a rigorous and engaging learning experience based on the USA Common Core and NGSS standards, with a strong focus on student achievement and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Physics at the middle and high school level following the USA Common Core and NGSS framework.

  • Design and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that promote inquiry-based learning and critical thinking.

  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.

  • Use differentiated instruction strategies to support a diverse range of learners.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and school-wide initiatives.

  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or a related science field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).

  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a similar curriculum (Common Core or NGSS experience preferred).

  • Female applicants only (due to gender-specific teaching requirements in UAE schools).

  • Strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and communication skills.

  • Culturally responsive, adaptable, and student-centered.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered
Prefer candidates with international experience
Additional:
**Experience of the IB Curriculum is beneficial but not essential as training will be given
**Experience of USA Curriculum such as American Harcourt, AP and Common Core is highly valued
**It will be beneficial to your application if you have experience of working in the Middle East or with non-native speakers of English

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 12500 up to 16000  AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
Housing:
Based on application  fully furnished Housing provided

Flights:
Flight(s) provided annual flights for the teacher only
Utility Bills:
500AED per month
Baggage Allowance:
up to 500 USD on actual reciept
Bereavement Leave:

Gratuity Amount:
Gratuity Amount of 1 month bonus pay for each year accrued is provided

2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
Additional information:
**Tuition is provided for 2 children aged 3-18 years of age
**IB workshop training provided up to $3000 as well as in-house CPD
