Is Dubai still your number 1 choice in the Middle East?

As the demand for teachers continues to rise in the Middle East focus is again on Dubai and its demand for high quality educators and management to continue the great work already being carried out on the ground in the education sector.

In the past as contracts near the end teachers often returned to the UK or country of origin but with the economic crisis continuing many are renewing their contracts and building on their international careers. With the quality of education rising and professional development the new focus for international schools teachers are reluctant to leave the TAX FREE sunshine and amazing quality of life.

With this in mind there are more teachers available in Dubai than ever before in turn reducing the demand for new international teachers to arrive. Teachers in Dubai that already have a proven record working in Dubai and adjusting to the culture and way of life tend to be favoured over those who have no international experience. With the small decline in demand due to the saturation of teachers and rise in teacher applications in Dubai the packages being offered in Dubai are starting to lower as schools and organisations are finding it far easier to fill their vacancies with excellent candidates.

There has been some movement between the UAE states as teachers are tending to want to experience more of what the UAE has to offer apart from Dubai which initially brought them into the country. The first choice after Dubai is Abu Dhabi which has its own methodology for the future of education for the Emirati children and off course expansion plan. Al ain and Ras al khaimah also bring an amazing experience of Arab culture and experience.

Many are taking the short flight over to Qatar where more and more highly skilled professionals are arriving to deliver the economic boom the country is experiencing. More British expat children in Qatar has meant more is demanded from the schools to deliver an accurate UK curriculum and quality of education. Qatari and other nationalities of children are benefiting from this surge in education reform with massive investment from the government in the education sector. Qatar is a close friend of the UK with massive investment projects in the UK and contracts handed to UK firms to develop the country and the vision they have for its future.
