Our client is seeking a teacher to fulfil a 2 year contract in one if the top school in Africa. The school is based in Zambia and delivers the English curriculum. Currently one if very few delivering this curriculum in Zambia. The school has a total of 550 students, which is evenly split between local Zambians and expats. This is different in regards to the teachers where majority of them are expatriate mainly English. In total there are 99 teacher and 80 of these are international.
The school has lots of resources for the children and teachers to explore. The school has a small library with 2 very professional Liberians. There are plenty more facilities that are used to enhance the children abilities spread throughout the school but most popular used by the students is the football field. This is because football within Africa is growing very quickly and is the top supported sport in the whole of Africa.
The school has a lovely warm feeling when you arrive. This is because management want to set a good atmosphere to motivate both students and teachers. The school has a surrounding of lovely small family houses. This sets a friendly environment for the children to feel safe in the school campus.
Duties performed by teachers:
**All candidates should be able to arrange productive lessons that involve the students engaging with friends and using fun activities
**You should ensure you are communicating with the students at all times so that they are aware of where they could improve
**Build relationships with the parents of the students and ensure you are contacting them to give them feedback about their child’s performances
**All teachers should remain professional and ensure that children have a strong role model to look up to
**You should be will to help you head of department with any after school activities
**You will be required to attend a weekly meeting and you should ensure you have you own observations to add
