A respectable private school is looking to recruit a professional and dynamic English teacher to be based in Shanghai to be responsible for deliver lessons to IGCSE and A'Level students to prepare them for the exams in order to get into the reputable global universities. 
 
The school is currently catering for 400 local Chinese national students and there are also 40 staff composed of 75% expatriate teachers and 25% non-expatriate teachers. This private school also offers Cambridge International Examination (CIE) syllabus for all students from Year 10 to Year 13 age ranging 15-18 years old.
 
The facilities within the campus are well-equipped such as library, ICT lab, science labs, gymnasium, basketball courts, tennis courts, football field and canteen. The school is also located within the university area which allows students to have a safe and quiet learning environment.
 
The maximum teaching hour is 25 hours Monday to Friday and teacher normally gets about 6 weeks holiday per annum.
 
Job descriptions:
 
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to students up to A’Level according to their educational needs
  • Monitor, evaluate and record students’ learning progress and attainment
  • Set and mark assignments and exams
  • Review and ensure the curriculum is up to date
  • Set clear targets for students
  • Maintain good order and discipline among students
  • Communicate with parents and ensure they aware of their children’s progress
  • Participate in meetings with parents
  • Participate in school/department meetings

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 20000 up to 28000   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 15-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of 4000 CNY per month   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided
Flights:
8000 (Reimburse upon arrival)  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) Allowance is provided
