**A Level Math Teacher**
**Teach in China**
**August 2015 start**
 
Our client is a post -16 secondary school located in Shanghai, China. The school follow the CIE curriculum and delivers the IGCE and A Level programmes to students from aged 14 to 18.
 
The school has about 380 Chinese students at present with 45 teaching staff. All the teaching staff are qualified teachers consist of 50% Chinese and 50% expatriates coming mainly from the UK.
 
The school is located about 20 mins away from the Bund and has good access to public transports. It has a good size campus with well-equipped science labs, classrooms, computer labs, art studio and sports facilities.
 
About Shanghai
*Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities based on CIE curriculum
*Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
*Identify and select different resources and methods to meet students’ needs
*Use relevant technology to support the learning process
*Ensure all learning resources and syllabus are up to date
*Monitor and assess students’ performance and development
*Set and mark homework and exams
*Maintain accurate tracking records of students’ progress
*Manage classroom discipline
*Participate in parents meetings
*Participate in department meetings

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 18,000 up to 28,000  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of 5000RMB  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided
Flights:
8,000RMB  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) Allowance is provided
Bereavement Leave:
Bereavement leave given
Emergency Evacuation:
Emergency evacuation given
Contract Length:
2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
