On behalf of my client, a leading private education group in the UAE, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Guidance Counsellor to support the social, emotional, and academic development of students at one of their established schools in Abu Dhabi.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment that values student wellbeing as a cornerstone of educational success.
Provide individual and group counselling to students on academic, emotional, and social matters
Develop and deliver wellbeing programs, career guidance, and university counselling
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and leadership to support students with special educational or behavioral needs
Identify and refer students to external support services when needed
Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive school culture through awareness campaigns and workshops
Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with school policies and local regulations
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 2 years of school-based counselling experience
Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
Experience working in international or bilingual school settings is an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus)
