Primary teaching Job Duties
**Plan daily by creating lessons plans
**Monitor and assess your students
**Make good use of jolly phonics in the classroom
**Use ICT in the classroom to make lessons more interactive
**Keep an updated mark book of students work and progression
**Make students aware of their targets and achievements to date
**Support under-performing students
**Team teach if needed
**Attend INSET's or workshops set by the school
**Take part in school field trips with your students
**Adapt lessons to meet the needs of a varied group of nationalities where English may not be the first language
**Create wall displays from student’s good work
**Be strong in using ICT which includes: iPad's, MS office and interactive whiteboards
**Be up to date with latest teaching standards and practices
**Ensure your lessons promote and enquiry based learning approach
**Report to the Primary Coordinator or the Head of Primary
**Keep up to date on your marking and assessment
The school is based in the UAE delivering the national curriculum of England and Wales. It has about 2000 students and growing and has a good pool of expatriate teachers most of which are UK qualified and QTS holders. Due to success of the school it will be increasing in numbers and so the number of teachers will need to be increases to meet the demand. There is a good induction programme at the school to settle new teachers. As the school is well established this job is no open to NQT's and so you must have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience to apply. The school is also making a shift to using more technology in the classroom so you if you have good experience of iPad's and Office software this will work to your advantage.
