Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic Science Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the IB Chemistry curriculum to students at both Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) levels. The role demands a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, inspiring students to achieve their fullest potential in the sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons aligned with IB standards.
- Prepare students for MYP and DP assessments, ensuring understanding of key concepts and practical skills.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and encourage critical thinking.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to enhance curriculum delivery.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
*Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
*Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB setting.
*Strong understanding of the IB curriculum and assessment methods.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Proven ability to inspire and motivate students.
