SeekTeachers is seeking an experienced Digital Transformation Programme Manager to join our client in Shanghai. Due to the current travel restrictions, our client is only able to consider a candidate who is based in China only.
Our client is a non-profit bilingual school located in the beautiful Shanghai city, offering a unique Year 1 - 12 educational programme that integrates elements of Shanghai and international curricula, culminating in Years 9-12 with the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programmes, which are complemented by core components of the Shanghai curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
**To enhance and systematize the use of Microsoft Teams/SharePoint which will involve making the existing Microsoft Office 365 infrastructure fit for purpose as a teaching and learning environment. This will include implementation of a school specific operating environment (Cloud Design Box) and the structuring of all digital assets.
**To enhance the use of PowerSchool SIS which will involve upgrading the functionality and data quality of the existing PowerSchool SIS in order that it provides a stable operational base for school administration and the connected teaching and learning environment.
**To enhance and simplify the Parent Communications Platform which will involve the implementation of a single platform for rapid and reliable communication between the primary school and parents.
**To work, in the first instance, with senior primary school staff to ensure that both teachers and support staff are trained in the use of Teams/Sharepoint and PowerSchool.
An ideal candidate should have:
**A demonstrable track-record of leading and managing technology projects and programmes from inception through to completion
**Detailed knowledge of standard software packages including and Microsoft SharePoint/Teams and student information systems
**A practical and strategic understanding of the value of the place of technology in education
**An ability to prioritise competing demands and to swiftly identify areas of improvement and a solution-oriented mindset
**Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
**A collaborative working style which ensures a thorough understanding of what is required by professional educators
**Influencing skills to achieve solutions and an ability to work confidently and assertively with a range of senior stakeholders and partners
**A university degree
**Fluency in English with the ability to speak Mandarin an advantage
**Prior experience of working in an international school would be desirable but not essential.
