I am looking for 1 Teacher of Performing Arts for one of the best Bilingual School in Beijing for August start. The Performing Arts Teacher will work alongside the homeroom teachers to cultivate a love for creativity and expression through music, movement and drama and appreciation of such through performance, and to discover and develop the talents of the students in the field of the performing arts.
My client is a bilingual early childhood center that offers individualized, inquiry-based learning apporach which encourages students to pursue their own passion and learning paths. Teachers, parents and students work closely together to build a strong learning community in order to develop student's capability in becoming a life-long learner. School's Curriculum is established under the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme's framework.
My client provides an exciting and vibrant work environment for experienced and dedicated staff who have a high commitment, energy and passion. Teaching candidates are evaluated on four key areas: high quality teaching practice, contribution to learning area and curriculum development, relationships with students, staff and parents and contribution to the whole school.
POSITION RESPONSABILITIES
**Development of a creative and ispiring programme linked to the IBPYP
**Work collaboratively with the homeroom teaching teams
**Create and foster a positive and calm learning environment
**Create unit plans which reflect differentiated learning needs and learning styles
**Undertake authentic assessment of all students to ensure student progress and attainment and report such to parents
**Plan and present high-quality performances to showcase students' performing arts skills for each grade level
**Ability to play at least one instrument well
**Organise school events and after school activities
**Develop positive rapport and strong communication lines with students and families
**Apply, uphold, and exhibit school's values, student management policies and culture
**Attend open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and other events involving families
**Attend and participate in all staff meeting and communicate openly with staff
**Inspire a love for performance
Requirements to apply:
**Bachelors Degree or above, typically in education with specilization in music or drama and teaching certificate where applicable
**Teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS/Teaching Licence or Credential)
**Native speaker of English (US/UK/Canada/New Zealand/Australia/Ireland)
**Demostrate strong pedagogy and passion for the performing arts
**Early Years teaching experience
**Minimum of 2 years of experience
**Demostrate knowledge of inquiry-based learning
**Demostrate success in building relationships and trust with administration, teachers, students, parents and community

Salary and Benefits:
**RMB 300,000 per year before taxes (GBP 35,000 / EUR 40,000 / USD 45,000 / AUD 62,500 / NZD 67,000)
**Housing allowance RMB 8,000 per month
**Travel allowance RMB 10,000 per year
**Relocation Allowance: up to USD 1,000 for luggages and relocating, RMB 2,000 cash for settling
