This is absolutely a great opportunity for an experienced Science Chemistry Teacher who wants to work in the fast growing and modern Shanghai city. This private school has 400 top national students ageing 15 to 18 years old, and there are also 40 staff in the school composed of 70% expatriate teachers and 30% non-expatriate teachers.
 
This successful private secondary school offers IGCSE and A’ Level courses directed by Cambridge International Examination (CIE) in order to provide international education and qualification for local Chinese students.
 
The facilities in the school include climate control classrooms, computer in each classrooms, library, science labs, computer labs, gymnasium, basketball courts and cafeteria. The school is located in the university area which provides a safe and quiet learning environment for students.
 
Job duties
 
*Planning, preparing and delivering lessons for students from IGCSE to A Level
*Monitoring and recording students learning development
*Strong ability in Assessment for Learning (AfL)
*Supervising students' laboratory work
*Creating resources/materials for lab practical’s
*Maintaining a safe learning environment for students
*Helping to prepare schemes of work and examinations
 
Shanghai is currently the major fast growing cities in China with the mixture of rich heritage of ancient historic Chinese culture and modern thriving environment. There are many attractions in this beautiful city, from museums, ancient towns to shopping arcades, world financial centres and nightclubs. 2 world class international airports in Shanghai offer connection to all international destinations i.e. Tokyo, London, New York and Paris.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
3 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 20000 up to 28000   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 15-20 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of 3000 CNY per month   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided
Flights:
10000  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) Allowance is provided
Bereavement Leave:
Bereavement leave given
Emergency Evacuation:
Emergency evacuation given
Contract Length:
2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
