A primary teacher is required to deliver English to non-native speakers in the buzzing island of Bahrain. SeekTeachers is looking for a female teacher who:
**Has a degree in primary education
**Have at least 2 years full time teaching experience
**Be a native speaker of English
**western trained from a recognised university
We are looking for an innovative teacher that has worked at grass roots level, coaching and teaching them to raise their standard of written and spoken English skills along with their reading. The school is a high profile school based in the lovely island of Bahrain, which is the same if not more liberal than Dubai. The nightlife in Bahrain is great where women can relax and walk the streets and enjoy their time shopping or enjoying a nice meal. Our client delivers the UK National Curriculum to Bahraini students that come from the Royal Family as well as girls from high class diplomat families. There is about a 15% expat community of students. Staff on the other hand are a mixed bag and come from the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand and Ireland so you will be able to make some good friends in this school.
The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is also a member of the IB programme delivering the IBDP programme at higher level.
As an ESL Primary teacher, your duties will include:
**Planning and preparing lessons to the UK National Curriculum standards
**Creating resources for your lessons
**Ensure you have well differentiated lessons to meet the needs of your learners
**Work with a TA to help students with special learning needs
**Set students homework and follow up with students
**Teach ESL to visual, audio and kinaesthetic learner types
**Adapting to the culture in Bahrain
**Able to continuously challenge each student
**Ensure you students remain motivated and are willing to work hard to achieve
**Provide the children with a positive atmosphere inside and outside of the classroom
**Ensure you are assessing each student on a daily basis which clearly shows progression being made by each individual
