Description

We are looking for a Science teacher to deliver one of the science within the Cycle 2 schools, which involve the middle schools Starting September 2016


The benefits are:

**Salary will be between 4500CAD and up to 7200CAD TAX FREE 
**Transportation is not provided, and each teacher has to provide and sort out their owen transportation
**Visas and paper work will be done by ADEC, Visas will be sorted for the Teacher, Spouse and up to 3 children 
**Yearly flights provided for the Teacher, Spouse and up to 3 children 
**Accommodation is provided for free, and it will be either a 1/2/3/4 bedroom apartments depending on the size of your family


ADEC is the educational governing body of Abu Dhabi, they have public schools all across the emirate of Abu Dhabi, they have schools in:
1- Abu Dhabi City
2- Al Ain City
3- Al-Gharbiya Region, which is the western region of Abu Dhabi, which is the less developed compared to its counterparts in Abu Dhabi City.

The working hours for these jobs will be between 7.30 AM till 14.30 for the primary and 15.10 for the middle and high school, you will bet teaching classes anywhere in and around the 25 teaching classes and will have to prep for your lessons and create your plans, there will be sufficient help and feedback form your line manager and principal.

The schools are located all across  the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, you will be placed in any one of the schools in any location, unfortunately we cannot guarantee and confirm the location of your placement, as you will be placed in one of the three main areas mentioned earlier, we will not know the school you will be assigned to, as this is down to a pooling system which is completely controlled by the Abu Dhabi Educational Council. You will only know once you arrive to Abu Dhabi.


The curriculum is a fusion between the three international curriculums, which are the British/ American and the IB, they have break the curriculum into three cycles, cycle 1 is for the primary up to year 6 and cycle two for the middle school and cycle three for the high schools, they need many teacher across all three schools.


Requirements:
**You will need to have a BA or  BSc related to your speciality and preferably if you have a BEd  
**Teaching certificate
**Teaching certificate from one of the education boards
**Any other certificates will be a bonus
**Minimum of 4 years as a principal plus teaching experience.



When you first arrive you will get many orientations to help you understand what’s the curriculum and what they are trying to achieve, they will explain and go into more depth of the curriculum so you will have a good grasp on the process, they will help you settle down and able to fit into the local community.


In my personal opinion you will be better off teaching in the more remote areas, as you will experience the true Arabic and local culture and traditions more than any other, and you will experience the gratitude of the students and the parents and if you are lucky enough to get liked by one of the parents and able to build a good reputation then you will be treated like royalty,
